JOB OVERVIEW

At Pickle Social Club (PSC), marketing is about all understanding the people and building awareness about how our services can satisfy their needs. Marketing is one of the key contributors in growing PSC’s business by acquiring opportunities for new partnerships and products / services, supporting PSC’s continued growth and success, creating and executing strategic marketing campaigns that can be harnessed to enhance PSC’s footprints, and reaching out to new audiences, which will in turn help to generate new revenue sources and enhances PSC community’s experiences.

Reporting to the Managing Directors and the management team at headquarter, this role requires exceptional people skills, communication skills, analytical strength and confidence to present our product and service offerings in a detailed and informed manner, and at the same time able to think strategically to position PSC’s brand and forge new relationships to reach the desired outcomes. We are looking for someone who is not just passionate about PSC, but whose interests extend beyond health, sports and fitness across all verticals.

JOB ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Marketing
    1. Play an active role in the development, implementation, and execution of marketing plans and campaigns, ensure the marketing initiatives are aligned with the Company’s visions.
    2. Work closely with other departments to execute marketing plans and partnerships and ensure the expected and desired outcomes are met.
    3. Develop strategic visions for social media, including content, channel and engagement strategies.
    4. Work closely with the social media, content and creative teams to ensure that all content is up to the brand standards and in line with the overall brand messaging.
    5. Measure and report performance of marketing campaigns, gain insight and assess against goals, and at the same time obtain feedbacks from each stakeholders involved, and conduct post-mortem at the end of each initiative.
    6. Conduct extensive industry, market and company research including quantitative and qualitative analysis, which includes and not limited to identify key industry trends, new concepts, competitive factors, consumer behaviour, etc.
  • Business Development
    1. Identify, creatively structure, negotiate, and execute strategic deals across a wide array of partners, brands, corporates and verticals that satisfy PSC business goals, which includes but not limited to acquiring new members, unlocking brand partners’ revenue and/or provide value-add benefits to PSC community.
    2. Actively identify new business opportunities, expansion opportunities and partnerships to enhance PSC brand and portfolio, including new service categories and new markets (domestic and international). This includes searching for and making first contact with new and potential partners, key industry players, media, agencies and community.
    3. Conduct due diligence on prospective new opportunities and partnerships.
    4. Create a pipeline of new projects and partnership opportunities that will support the overarching brand strategy and business objectives, while ensure the initiatives are aligned with the Company’s visions and core values
    5. Organise or seek out relevant opportunities to be involved in events, conferences, trade shows, etc.
  • Public Relations
    1. Build PSC’s external network and discover high growth brands that can provide value to PSC and the community.
    2. Identify and coordinate speaking opportunities to increase visibility for PSC brand and the offerings.
    3. Build and maintain / leverage relationships with relevant media and influencers to educate them about PSC’s offerings.
    4. Write and edit press materials including press releases, blog posts, announcements, by-lines, pitches, etc.
    5. Work with key industry players and partners to tell joint stories at events and in the press when appropriate.
    6. Manage PSC’s reputation in the media, oversee and strengthen key media relationships and leading strategy for all Company initiatives, including any crisis management.
  • Event Management
    1. Work with the team to conceptualise, plan and manage of all internal and external studio events with marketing department for the sole purpose of revenue generation, customer acquisition, community engagement and etc.
    2. Research opportunities and reach out to potential partners and clients for potential events engagement.
    3. Work closely with marketing and operation team to maximise event attendance and brand exposure.
    4. Produce post-mortem of events for future reference and next steps for upcoming events.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Either a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing (or a related field) or demonstrable experience in business development together with the potential and attitude required to learn.
  • Ability to make thoughtful, actionable recommendations under pressure, and quickly build consensus with senior level internal and external stakeholders.
  • Relationship builder. Outgoing, high energy, and persistent personality, and excellent interpersonal and presentation skills. 
  • Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges. 
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.
  • Willing to get hands dirty by dabbling in materials production, or any creative task needed for content creation.
  • Excellent communication skills and a love for great copy.
  • Resourceful, organized, meticulous and has the ability to quickly adapt to change.
  • Able to work independently, but also able to organize and coordinate all marketing efforts (team player as well).
